- A luva que Michael Jackson usou na mão esquerda quando em 1983 mostrou ao mundo pela primeira vez seu mítico "moonwalk", que depois se transformaria em uma de suas marcas registradas, foi vendida por US$ 350 mil em um leilão organizado em Nova York. A casa de leilões Julien's Auction tinha avaliado inicialmente esta peça, considerada uma das lembranças mais valiosas da história do pop, entre US$ 40 mil e US$ 60 mil. No entanto, durante a movimentada disputa realizada no Hard Rock Cafe de Times Square, e a qual também podia ser feita pela Internet, vários interessados elevaram seu preço progressivamente até que um comprador que estava presente no local conseguiu arrematá-la. Esta peça -- "a mais histórica e representativa de Michael Jackson" segundo disse à Agência Efe na véspera do leilão o presidente da Julien's Auctions Darren Julien -- é feita de pele e decorada com uma malha de pedras preciosas de imitação.
